WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend all Gi, Hakama, Pants and Obi to hand wash and hung dry in shade, not under direct sun light.

  • Please do not wash colored materials with white materials. There is the risk that the color may fade onto the white material.
  • We recommend washing Gi, Hakama, Pants and Obi alone from other laundry. It also prevents wear and tear from buttons, zippers or other embellishments.
  • Never leave your uniform used in its sweaty or dirty state. Make sure to wash it in that day or put it in the washer with water already filled. This will prevent from mold forming.
  • Please rinse it thoroughly. If you leave some residue, it may lead to mold developing and odor causing.

Aikido Gi and Pants

  • We recommend washing in cold water, low/medium spin and low/normal soil level. Or hand wash to prevent shrinkage.
  • Please use mild detergent and avoid detergent contains a bleach additive.
  • No chlorine bleaches please.
  • It is better washing inside out to prevent weakening the fibers or fuzz on outside surface.
  • Please do not use dryer, it may cause shrinkage and reduce the longevity of Gi and pants.
  • For Gi, hung dry like a letter “T”. This method allows Gi for better air circulation to the arm pit area and the collar region.
  • Tapping and stretching when you hung dry will help from shrinking and wrinkling.
